Lee Parks Total Control Clinic, 10-2009 : The clinic was a 2-day affair, one complete class each day. Most Gateway Riders took the Saturday class and these photos are of the Sunday class. All pictures were taken by Mary or Bruce Shawgo. Bringing Lee Parks to the St. Louis area was a joint effort between Bruce Shawgo of the Gateway Riders and of Gateway BMW.

St. Pat's Day party, 3-14-09 : Helen and Rich Race hosted the 2009 St. Patrick's Day party on March 14. About 20 members attended and scarfed down wonderful corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, 2 recipes of Irish soda bread, various snacks and a table full of desserts.

Woo's Folly, 2-22-2009 : Our destination was the Diamond Mineral Springs restaurant in Grantsfork, IL. Fifteen club members showed up for the trip. The temperature was 25 degrees at meeting time. Even so, Ed Fusco and Chris Kerckhoff rode bikes and Ed did not have electrics. Phil brought George and Mae Glascock; it was only the second time Mae had been out of the house since June. It was good to see them.

Ice Races, 1-24-2009 : The first round of the International Extreme Ice Races were held at the St. Charles Family Arena on January 24, 2009. Fifteen Gateway Riders and spouses had dinner at the Cracker Barrel restaurant and then went to the ice races. Several qualifying heats in both categories led to the final. Woo's Folly, 2-25-08 : Because of snowy weather, the Gateway Riders took cars to Diamond Mineral Springs on February 25, 2008. This ride is called Woo's Folly after a member from years ago who used to lead the ride. The club has been coming here for over 20 years.

Progressive Dinner, 2007 : The Gateway Riders Progressive Dinner was held April 22, 2007. It was a lovely day. The stops were spread out this year and mileage amounted to around 150 or more miles. Unfortunately, because I was co-hosting the dessert stop, I was not able to attend the main dish stop. And I forgot to take my camera to the dessert stop, but George Siede sent some photos of those stops. Thanks, George!
