Motomuseum Monster Tour, 8-09 : In August of 2009 Ed Youngblood and Ralf Kruger from Germany made a 2-week, 3000 mile tour of motorcycle museums and collections, which Ed called the Motomuseum Monster Tour. They were in St. Louis on August 11 and I drove them to Classic Motorcycles, the Moto Museum and Triumph Grill, Gateway BMW and Carl Donelson's museum.

Chicago Cycle World Show, 2-8-09 : On February 8, 2009 a group of Gateway BMW customers (and friends of customers) left the shop via chartered bus for a trip to the Cycle World Motorcycle Show in Chicago. The bus stopped on the Illinois side to pick up additional people. The bus left the shop at 6:15 a.m. and arrived in Chicago around noon. We had 5 hours at the show, then we boarded the bus for the return trip, arriving back at the shop at 11 p.m. Many thanks to Dave Hunter for having the idea and to Dave and Marklyn for organizing it all.

Cyclemo's Motorcycle Museum : Cyclemo's Motorcycle Museum is located in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. It's a new place and it's still under construction, but the front room is finished and full of old bikes, memorabilia and items for sale, including many "old" embroidered patches and garments, which owner Mike Silvio's wife does (see www.cyclemosvintagemotorclothes.com). A larger back room will house 75 bikes coming from Dale Walksler's museum in Maggie Valley; Dale is closing his museum, so this situation is a win-win one for the two museum owners.
